Our luncheon this month will be on Thursday February 23rd and will be held at Star Plastics in Ravenswood (Please email mspangler@jacksonchamberwv.com for directions and RSVP).  Jane Winters from the Community Foundation will be speaking about the  Foundation’s Civic Fellowship Program.  The program will create paying internships for college students and I think it’s a great opportunity for our local businesses to participate in (The big focus when working with Jane on this is to create an opportunity for local kids to be able to come back to the area for summer internships which will then hopefully lead to coming back to have a career here after college as well)

The deadline for the grant is March 14th, so our members who may want to sign up or sponsor an intern will still have time to apply before the deadline after learning a little bit more about the program.

Cost is $10 per Chamber member and $12 for non-members and walk-ins.  Please RSVP by February 20th.
