The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce (JCCC) is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote business and economic development as well as the cultural and civic welfare of the Jackson County region.  At the JCCC we strive to provide the services you need and the results that you expect.       The January lunch meeting of the JCCC was a tremendous success. I would like to thank Sandra Elza and her staff at Jackson General Hospital for the wonderful accommodations and their tremendous hospitality. Amy Haskins with the Jackson County Health Department engaged the audience and provided information on the efforts of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Coalition. 
      Materials from the meeting are available at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Office. You may contact the Jackson County Health Department @ 304-372-2634 to learn more about the Jackson Co. Anti-Drug Coalition. Their next scheduled meeting is slated for Monday evening February 1st at the City Hall in Ripley beginning at 5:00 p.m. for youth and 6:00 p.m. for adults.

• January 30, 2010 the Jackson General Hospital Foundation's Annual Gala Dinner/Dance and Art Auction.  A social hour kicks off the evening at 6:00 p.m. with a formal dinner, art auction, cash bar, and dancing at 7:00 p.m..  The event will be held at McCoy's Conference Center. Adult tickets are $40 and Senior tickets are $35. Call 304-372-2731 for further information on this event.


• February 4, 2010 @ 7:00 p.m. there will be a percussion concert at the Ripley High School Band Room. Mr. Ammed Solomon will be performing a free concert for the public.


• February 20, 2010 @ 5:00 p.m. is the Pilot Club 15th annual dinner theater @ McCoy's Conference Center. Call Carolyn Waybright @ 304-372-1995 for ticket information.


• February 20, 2010 will be the annual Sweetheart Pageant at the Alpine Theatre. Younger age brackets begin at 11:00 a.m and older age brackets begin at 1:30 p.m.  Registration for this event is scheduled to end on February 6th.
